India 2016, 96 min, English and Hindi, Hebrew & English subtitles

Arvind Kejriwal is probably the most controversial politician in India today. His millions of fans see him as a savior, sweeping away state corruption; His equally numerous detractors claim he’s more concerned with his cult of personality. Kejriwal appeared on the scene seemingly out of nowhere, heading an apolitical protest movement, going on hunger strikes, casting himself as a different kind of leader by raising issues affecting ordinary citizens. But then, he decided to run for office after all. The film follows him over the course of a year as he builds his public persona—a year of meteoric climbs and dizzying falls, during which Kejriwal, and his supporters and critics alike, are forced to reckon with the changes awakening local politics from its decades-long slumber.
