Brazil 2017, 18 min, Portuguese, Hebrew & English subtitles

“Brega” is Brazil’s homegrown lowbrow pop music. Kitschy lyrics and formulaic melodies envelop larger-than-life stories of love and betrayal. Its creators, much like its listeners, live somewhere between a mundane reality and delusions of glamor and passion, and the camera moves through it all with them.
