Sergei Polunin’s meteoric career began when he was 13, when he received a scholarship to The British Royal Ballet School. At 18, already the company’s youngest-ever solo star, he was snatched by the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich- Danchenko Moscow Theatre to star in their impressive productions. Polunin’s immense passion for dance, and his rebellious impulses, have propelled his career into unexpected directions. He is currently performing with various troupes around the world, and creating new work with his own company, “Project Polunin”.

The biographical documentary about Polunin, “Dancer”, will screen at the festival courtesy of United King Films.
