Yehonatan Indursky

Studied at Ponevezh Yeshiva and Sam Spiegel Film and Television School. Wrote and directed the short films Driver, The Cantor and the Sea, and the documentary Ponevezh Time. He is the creator of the television series Shtisel, and the creator and director of Autonomies, a new mini-series coming soon to the HOT cable television network. His new feature film Driver will be released later this year.

Alice Burgin

Alice has experience in various programming capacities, working for festivals such as the Melbourne International Film Festival and Tribeca Film Festival, as well as for the documentary program, POV. Director of AIDC, where she began as the Conference Programmer.

Irit Dolev

Filmmaker, director and content editor, part of the pioneering team that started the Israel Television News Company (Channel 2 News). Her work includes Nispah Tarbut (Cultural attaché ); The Top Panel; and The Stripper, the Aligator and the Minister’s Wife. Dolev is the co-founding Editor in Chief of the independent news outlet The Hottest Place in Hell. In 2018, she produced the film 17 Seconds, aired on Kan 11, and the true crime documentary series Citizen K, currently airing on yesDocu.

Gal Greenspan

Gal Greenspan was born in 1981 in Tel Aviv. After graduating from the Sam Spiegel School for Film and Television, he established Green Productions, a film and promotional production house in Tel Aviv, releasing films such as: Scaffolding, Menashe, Youth, A Quiet Heart, Summer Vacation, and several films to be released in 2018.

Shane Smith

Shane Smith is Director of Programming at Hot Docs, North America’s largest Festival and Market for documentary films. Smith previously worked at the Toronto International Film Festival as Director of Special Projects and Director of Public Programs, as well as Short Film Programmer for the Sundance Film Festival.

Hans Robert Eisenhauer

Hans Robert Eisenhauer worked for more than 20 years at ARTE and ZDF. He is the head of the film and TV production company Ventana Film GmbH in Berlin. His co-productions include the Sundance winners Return to Homs and Of Fathers and Sons.

Anna Zamecka

Polish film director, screenwriter and producer. A member of the European Film Academy. Her 2016 debut feature film Communion received numerous awards including the European Film Award for Best European Documentary 2017 and the Critic’s Week Award at Locarno IFF, among others.

Avida Livny

Born in London, Avida Livny is a graduate of the Film & Television Department at Tel Aviv University. He directed many documentary films and TV series in Israel, including Traffickers (2008), Looking for Moshe Guez (2011), There and Here (2014) and Not without White Gloves (2017).

Maya Zack

Maya Zack is an artist-filmmaker and a lecturer at Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem. Her award-winning works have been exhibited at the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum in Berlin, Galleria MLF in Brussels, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Israel Museum, Jerusalem, The Jewish Museum in Vienna, The Jewish Museum in New York, Moscow Biennale for Young Art, Galerie im Taxispalais in Innsbruck and Daimler Collection in Berlin, among others.

Itay Marom

As a cinematographer, an artist and a filmmaker, Marom has shot many feature films and documentaries and worked with leading documentarists like Nurith Aviv and Ran Tal. Most of his video pieces lie between video art and documentary cinema.

Julia Nottingham

Julia is a London based independent producer working in non-fiction, fiction and the space in-between. Her films have premiered at Sundance, Venice, Toronto, Tribeca & SXSW. Prior to this, she was Head of Docs at Pulse Films.

Ori Levin

Ori Levin is an artist and film scholar. She has presented her works in numerous local and international venues, including Galerie Metropolis, Paris; The Israel Museum; Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art and Kunstmuseum Mülheim, Essen. She teaches at Tel Aviv University, Bezalel Academy of Art and Design and Sam Spiegel Film and Television School. Her areas of research include early cinema and its relation to digital cinema, silent films, slapstick and video-art.

Anne Laurent-Delage

Anne Laurent-Delage is originally from France but has been living in Vienna. She is responsible for the international relations at AFC – Austrian Films Commission, the organization dedicated to promoting Austrian cinema throughout the world.

Miki Polonski

Miki Polonski is a director, screenwriter and film lecturer. His latest films—Shmama and 1 Building and 40 People Dancing—have won awards at Locarno, Docaviv and The Israeli Documentary Film Competition. His short film Ten Buildings Away was selected for the Cinéfondation competition at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2017, his short films were featured in retrospectives at several international film festivals.

Moran Ifergan

Born and raised in Be’er Sheva, Moran Ifergan graduated from the Sam Spiegel Film School in Jerusalem. Her short documentaries were screened at film festivals around the world. Her feature documentary Wall won the Best Israeli Film Award at Docaviv 2017 and was selected for Cinéma du Réel at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and for the DOK Leipzig Festival in Germany, among others. Ifergan’s films engage with political, social and gender issues in Israeli society from a personal point of view.

Naftaly Gliksberg

A television and film director, founding director of Ma’ale Film School in Jerusalem, former Head of the Video and Animation Program at WIZO Haifa Academy of Design, and winner of the Israeli Minister of Culture Award for Achievement in Filmmaking. Gliksberg directed and produced a long list of films and television series. His latest film, I am Shimon Peres (2015), was screened in over 40 countries and film festivals.

Bishnu Dev Halder

An alumnus of SRFTI, Bishnu Dev Halder’s films include Bagher Bachcha, Pratyabartan, I was Born In Delhi, and The Diary of a Refugee, that have won the National Film Award and a Nomination at IDFA, among others, as well having been telecast on National Geographic, NHK, YLE. Bishnu is the Director of Programming at Docedge Kolkata.

Benjamin Tovias

Benjamin Tovias is an Israeli film lecturer and critic. He graduated from the Tel Aviv University School of Film and Television, specializing in screenwriting and production, and has been writing film reviews for Yedioth Ahronoth daily newspaper since 2011.

Ofer Libergal

Ofer Libergal (born 1983) is a film critic and lecturer. An alumnus of Tel Aviv University’s School of Film and Television, he has been a staff writer for the film blog and online magazine Srita since 2010. He has also published articles in Cinematheque Film Journal and Takriv Magazine, and on various editorial websites.

Marietta Steinhart

Born and raised in Vienna, Steinhart is a US based film critic covering North American cinema and television (Ray Filmmagazin, ZEIT ONLINE, the Austria Press Agency). She studied Journalism and History, Film and Comparative Literature at the University of Vienna.
