PLANET OF SNAIL

Japan / South Korea 2011, 90 min, Korean, Hebrew & English subtitles

If you ask Young-Chan, he will say he comes from Planet Snail. The planet’s residents are blind and deaf; they are called “snails” because they rely on their sense of touch to communicate. Young-Chan says no one on earth understood his language, and without his angel, partner and translator (Soon-Ho), he would have lost his belief in life. IDFA Best Feature-Length Award Winner "Planet of Snail" offers a captivating look at the lives of Young-Chan and Soon-Ho. Each daily task presents a challenge, but they never give up. Soon-Ho’s support helped Young-Chan discover a world of beauty at his fingertips. Having learned Braille, he dreams of becoming a writer and sharing his experiences with the world.
