Ordos is a vast, ultra-modern metropolis, built by the Chinese government. It is being populated by millions of farmers who have have been relocated there. Now they find the food they once grew in the frozen food section of the supermarket, and attend government-sponsored courses on how to use a toilet, or why one should never smoke or spit in public.
