Switzerland 2018, 113 min, English, Russian and Korean, Hebrew & English subtitles
On the wind-swept islands of the Arctic Ocean and in cutting-edge genetic engineering laboratories in Harvard and Korea—a race is taking place. On the islands, hunters battle against the waves, ice and frozen earth, hoping to find the tusks of a wooly mammoth, each weighing dozens of kilograms and priced at thousands of dollars. In the labs, synthetic biology researchers hope to resurrect the mammoth, now extinct for thousands of years, and revolutionize genetics by proving that man can design species and bring them to life just as well as nature.
Two brothers—a hunter and a scientist—set off on two journeys and encounter breathtaking scenery, unsettling beliefs and groundbreaking discoveries; and everyone who joins them is willing to go far to find fame and fortune.
