United Kingdom 2023, 75 min, English, Hebrew subtitles

When Isabella Tree and her husband arrived at the rural estate they had inherited and saw the vast swathes of farmland that came with it, they immediately saw how sick the land was—entire habitats destroyed, bird and plant species gone extinct, fields saturated with chemicals. The experiment they decided to undertake was extreme: To heal nature, they had to let it heal itself. They stopped tilling the land, released wild horses, pigs, and other animals, and waited. The results surpassed all expectations, as evidenced by this stunning film, reminiscent of a David Attenborough wildlife documentary and based on Tree’s bestselling book. The story’s protagonist, Nature, unfolds before us in all its richness and beauty, inspiring hope in the possibility of healing the environment and in the world’s ability to make itself anew.
