Docaviv and the Administration of Rural Education and Youth Aliya, the Ministry of Education’s Arts Unit, in partnership with Yes, are proud to present DocuYoung, the youth documentary workshops project. This initiative has been running in numerous boarding schools and youth villages nationwide since 2013.
DocuYoung participants create short documentary films under the expert guidance and mentorship of Israel’s most accomplished documentary filmmakers. These films will have their world premiere at Docaviv Festival 2025.
Leading this year’s workshops were documentary filmmakers Sharon Luzon, Avigail Sperber, Noam Pinchas, Ami Goldman, Asaf Banit, and Roman Shumunov.
Young people from nine youth villages and boarding schools took part in this year’s workshops: Hadassah Neurim, Gan VaNof, Neve Hadassah, Steinberg, Ayanot, Nahalal, Ramat Hadassah, Kannot, and Kfar Hassidim.
