A conservative Pennsylvania town becomes a flashpoint for America’s simmering tensions: religion, gender, and freedom. This society-wide schism manifests in a deeply symbolic culture war over the public school curriculum, specifically, which books will be allowed and which must be banned and hidden from the next generation. This urgent and timely observational doc reveals how the dynamics of local politics, shaped in seemingly mundane board meetings and administrative decisions, ignite into a volatile conflict where religious leaders and self-proclaimed influencers position themselves as both victims and empowered political voices, unleashing their fundamentalist worldview against perceived queer propaganda, the globalist left, and the deep state. It is a prophetically resonant story about a small American community that illuminates the trajectory of Western democracy.
