Sweden / Finland / Denmark 2024, 206 min, Hebrew, Arabic and English, Hebrew & English subtitles

From 1958 to 1989, Swedish public television (SVT) journalists reported directly from Israel and Palestine, documenting it all: the rise of a singular power in the Middle East, a people’s fight for their rights under occupation and martial law, the hesitant diplomacy, and the ordinary people, some weary of violence, others realizing that their future, like their past, is written in blood. This cleverly packaged, tightly edited collection includes dozens of news stories and reports, some dry and detached, others gut-wrenchingly empathetic, all from an outside perspective. It is a rare historical record offering insight into the land, its peoples, and a conflict still unfolding as we speak.
