Three donkeys wander freely through a desert landscape that could easily be on another planet. They stumble upon an astronomical observatory, and suddenly, the derelict structure awakens, offering a fleeting glimpse into the mysteries of the universe. This unique documentary immerses viewers in a staggering sensory exploration of textures, lights, and sounds. The film works on an emotional, nonverbal level that requires an attunement of the mind and fulfills the promise of defamiliarization, allowing us to experience the familiar in a fresh, new way, as if encountering it for the very first time.
