France / Belgium / Germany 2025, 45 min, No Dialogue

Drawing inspiration from Max Richter’s contemporary take on Vivaldi’s iconic classical masterpiece “The Four Seasons”, six internationally acclaimed choreographers—Franck Chartier, Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber, Imre and Marne van Opstal, and Emilie Leriche—and four dance duos interpret the abstract themes that emerge from each concerto into a poetic and multi-layered cinematic piece that celebrates and revels in the grandeur of nature, the sensuality of the body, and the invigorating power of love. Composed of four dance sequences, each representing a season, the film takes us through contrasting landscapes: from water to a scorching-hot desert, from a humid, misty forest to snow-capped mountains, as if mirroring the heart’s changing moods and the life cycle of a romantic relationship. From the moment you hear the first notes of the spring sequence, you will be swept away by Vivaldi’s power, Richter’s rendition, and the energy of the dancers’ and the camera’s movement.
