Rivka Michaeli is a cultural legend in Israel and one of the few artists who speak out against the government.
Michaeli travels to America where her two children have been living for the past twenty years; only there can she play the roles of mother and grandmother.
While in Israel Michaeli is considered a traitor for her political views, it’s in America that she emerges as a devout and loving Zionist.
The reunion forces Michaeli and her relatives to pay the price for living far away with the pain of missing out and the feeling of absence.
It is an emotional reckoning that takes Rivka Michaeli across many inner bridges, between family and the country she loves, past and future, and between despair and the constant hope within her.
