A special open-air screening

Dancing Pina (Germany, 2022)
Young dancers in Germany and Senegal rediscover the work of Pina Bausch, and through it—meet themselves anew.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmaker Florian Heinzen-Ziob, dancer Anique Ayiboe from the École des Sables dance company in Senegal, and Josephine Ann Endictott, former soloist with Tanztheater Wuppertal, Pina Bausch’s dance company.

The event is held with the generous support of the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality and the North Rhine-Westphalia District Department in Israel.

Dancing Pina

14 years after her death, Pina Bausch’s groundbreaking dance pieces are still helping passionate young dancers rediscover their bodies. In Germany and Senegal, two of the late choreographer’s most famous works return to the stage, loaded with powerful personal and cultural meaning.
