Elvina hails from Lithuania, and David from Canada. Together they founded Broken Island Films and have so far made three short films which have played at festivals internationally. Their latest film, Voices Apart, won a 2020 Research in Film Award, sponsored by the UK-based Arts and Humanities Research Council.
